Itinerary

Morning — Labuan Bajo to Ruteng

• Pick-up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo around 6:00–6:30 AM.

• Scenic drive to Ruteng (approximately 4–5 hours), passing through rolling hills, local villages, and beautiful highland scenery.

• Stop along the way at a local viewpoint or coffee plantation for short breaks and photos.

Midday — Visit Liang Bua (Hobbit Cave)

• Arrive at Liang Bua, the archaeological site where fossils of Homo floresiensis were discovered in 2003.

• Explore the cave with a local guide and learn about the excavation process, ancient artifacts, and the story behind the “Hobbit” discovery.

• Visit the small museum near the site displaying replicas and informative panels.

• Enjoy a local lunch in Ruteng town.

Afternoon — Ruteng Sightseeing & Return to Labuan Bajo

• Optional stop at Cancar Spider Web Rice Fields, a unique pattern of traditional Manggarai rice fields known as “Lingko.”
